About the role
We’re looking for a Customer Service Assistant to join our team at One Stop, a subsidiary of Tesco. In this role, you will work in a fast-paced retail environment, providing excellent customer service, stocking shelves, processing payments, and maintaining the store’s appearance.
You will play an important role in the daily operations of our store, always aiming to improve service through on-the-job coaching and feedback, ensuring a safe environment for both staff and customers.
You will be Responsible For
* Serving customers with passion and pride, delivering natural service.
* Encouraging customers to provide feedback via surveys.
* Working across all store areas including online, tills, replenishment, vending, and stock routines.
* Practicing safety in all work activities based on received training.
* Participating in seasonal, community, and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
* Understanding store performance and contributing to profit objectives.
* Living our values, making everyone feel welcome, and following policies.
* Clocking in and out accurately to ensure correct payment.
* Following security procedures and wearing safety equipment.
* Following the 'think 25' policy when serving age-restricted products.
* Responding promptly to assistance calls, explaining actions to customers.
* Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
* Potentially managing shifts in the absence of supervisors.
* Following all training to ensure safety and legal compliance.
If this store has a Post Office Local, your duties will include managing daily operations of the post office, which requires passing a background check. Failure to pass will result in withdrawal of the job offer.
