Legal Counsel – Construction & Infrastructure
Central London | Hybrid working
An excellent opportunity for a junior lawyer to join a well-established in-house legal team working on major UK infrastructure projects across transport and natural resources.
The role
* Support high-value, strategically important construction projects across the UK
* Advise on NEC contracts (core focus), JVs, consultancy agreements, variations and settlements
* Work on both contentious and non-contentious matters
* Partner closely with commercial and project teams
* Help identify, manage and mitigate legal and commercial risk
* Support continuous improvement through better processes and use of legal tech
About you
* Qualified lawyer (Approx 0-3 years PQE)
* Experience in construction law is essential (in-house or private practice)
* Good working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
* Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills
* Commercially minded and keen to support business objectives
* Proactive, organised and comfortable juggling priorities
* Able to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team
