We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Associate Psychologist to join our integrated mental health care team at HMP Thameside. HMP Thameside is a category B remand prison located in South East London, close to Plumstead and Woolwich Arsenal stations. The prison houses around 1,232 patients with diverse and complex mental health needs.
Within this role, you will support and enhance the psychological care of patients by providing psychological assessments and low to medium intensity psychological interventions. You will also undertake clinical/peer supervision of work delivered by Assistant Psychologists under the supervision of a registered psychologist. HMP Thameside is a busy prison with high patient turnover, suitable for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4.30pm
Salary
Up to £53,172 per annum, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
* Identify patients who may benefit from psychological intervention
* Conduct comprehensive psychological and risk assessments, and develop formulations
* Deliver individual and group interventions aligned with PTTS pathways and guidance from the registered psychologist
* Maintain accurate clinical records
* Support multidisciplinary team understanding of psychological support
* Contribute to audit, research, and service evaluation projects
* Engage in CPD and peer supervision, maintaining a log of competencies

Qualifications
* Bachelor in Psychology with GBC or MSc in Forensic/Health Psychology
* Completed BPS-accredited CAP Level 7 apprenticeship
* Foundation training in evidence-based psychological frameworks (CFT, CBT, DBT, ACT)
* Knowledge of relevant psychological therapies
