We’re looking for a full-time, permanent Transport Planner to assist in co-ordinating the central planning operation in order to achieve business objectives and the needs of the customer. Working Monday to Friday core hours between the hours of 6am - 6pm (with some flexibility – this is logistics after all).
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £32,000 per annum. In addition, we offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Ensure all administrative duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
* To use and maintain all IT based systems in the effective delivery of their role including SAP & WTS.
* Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. haulier comms, dealing with customer issues, internal stakeholders etc.
* To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken and KPI’s met
* Make sure all financial costs are updated in the systems to ensure a smooth and seamless invoicing process and cost reporting to our customer.
* To undertake any other reasonable task as required.
* To always display the highest standards, lead by example approach.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Previous experience within a transport / logistics organisation would be desirable
* Planning experience would also be enssential
* Ability to work under pressure and react quickly to customer requirements
* Effective Customer Service Skills
* Ability to take a creative approach to problem solving.
* Good geographical knowledge of the UK
