Sanderson's Wynd is a vibrant and inclusive community. The school has 12 mainstream classes and 4 specialist provision classes within our Hub. We seek an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Principal Teacher to join us permanently. Applicants should be confident in sharing practice with colleagues and have experience in leading learning and practice, either as an experienced class teacher or Acting PT. Subject to school and council policies, Principal Teachers perform tasks as directed by the Head Teacher, including:
1. Curricular development and quality assurance.
2. Contributing to school policy on behaviour management.
3. Managing and guiding colleagues, reviewing CPD, career development, and performance.
4. Providing advice, support, and guidance to colleagues.
5. Leading and managing pastoral care within the school.
6. Assisting in managing and developing pastoral care staff.
7. Implementing policies on guidance, pastoral care, assessment, and pupil welfare.
8. Working with colleagues, parents, and agencies.
9. Sharing best practices and advancing the School Improvement Plan.
10. Participating in school administration and the School Improvement Plan.

Job Requirements
Qualifications: Full GTCS Registration and evidence of CPD
PVG Membership: This role is regulated and involves working with vulnerable groups. Candidates must be PVG Scheme members or undergo scheme updates before employment. Records are regularly updated, and relevant disclosures will be discussed before any offer.
Additional Checks: If you have spent over 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an overseas criminal record check is required.
Pay Arrangements: For those starting after the school session begins, salary calculations will be adjusted accordingly, with further details provided upon appointment.
