Oxfordshire Educational Psychology Service consists of a team of Educational Psychologists, Trainee Educational Psychologists, Assistant Educational Psychologists and dedicated administrative support staff. We apply our psychological skills and knowledge to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.


Main duties of the job

We work collaboratively with young people, their parents/carers, educational staff and other professionals. Key duties include managing traded time within allocated schools, developing relationships with SENCOs and school professionals, supporting the LA with EHCNAs, and delivering training and support across a range of areas (EBSA response, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant training, SENCo supervision, the Relational Schools Project, a maths course, Postvention training and Critical Incident Support).

We are expanding to meet demand for high‑quality services delivered with schools and partners, with three area teams based in Banbury, Didcot and Oxford. The service benefits from close links with doctoral training courses and welcomes contributors from trainee programmes.


Job responsibilities

Work collaboratively with young people, their parents/carers, educational staff and other professionals. Manage traded time, develop relationships with SENCOs, support the LA with EHCNAs, and supervise and train across various projects. Provide reflective practice, professional development and strong peer support. Contribute to service development and team objectives.


About you

* a professionally qualified Educational Psychologist (or will be) with registration to the HCPC; trainees welcomed with September 2025 or September 2026 start dates
