Job Title: Area Sales Manager – Wood Division

Role Overview
As Area Sales Manager for the Wood Division, you will lead, coach, and inspire a team of Field Sales Consultants across the Midlands and West Midlands. Your focus will be on driving growth, developing talent, and building strong customer relationships in the wood and joinery sector. You will champion Würth’s consultative and solution-based sales approach, ensuring your team delivers exceptional service and achieves ambitious targets in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, motivate, and develop a team of up to 10 Field Sales Consultants, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Drive revenue and margin growth through effective account management, customer retention, and new business acquisition in the wood sector.
* Set, monitor, and achieve monthly sales, gross profit, and activity KPIs for your area.
* Support consultants with joint customer visits, hands-on coaching, and in-field training.
* Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales team members.
* Develop and implement area sales strategies aligned with divisional and national goals.
* Analyse sales data and market trends to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
* Build and maintain relationships with key customers, joinery businesses, and industry influencers.
* Ensure high standards of customer service and satisfaction across the territory.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (product, marketing, logistics) to deliver tailored solutions.

Person Specification
* Proven experience in field sales management, ideally in the wood, joinery, or construction products sector.
* Track record of leading and developing successful sales teams.
* Strong consultative selling and key account management skills.
* Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and drive performance improvements.
* Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal abilities.
* Commercially astute, with a focus on customer needs and long-term partnerships.
* Self-motivated, organised, and results-driven.
* Proficient in CRM and Microsoft Office applications.
* Full UK driving licence.
