Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our client, a well established family run business looking for the right candidate to join their team. Responsible for the fabrication and assembly of wooden structures and fixtures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in carpentry and joinery, with the ability to work effectively with both hand and power tools. This role requires a meticulous approach to construction, ensuring high-quality workmanship in all tasks undertaken.
Duties
* Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture.
* Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all components fit together seamlessly.
* Utilise hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various construction projects.
* Assist in roofing projects, ensuring structural integrity and adherence to safety standards.
* Conduct heavy lifting as required during the assembly and installation of materials.
* Engage in construction painting to finish surfaces as per project specifications.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, including plumbers, electricians, and masons, to ensure cohesive project execution.
* Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Experience
* Proven experience in fabrication and assembly within the construction industry is essential.
* Strong skills in carpentry and joinery techniques are required.
* Familiarity with roofing practices is advantageous.
* Experience with heavy lifting is necessary for this role.
* Knowledge of construction painting techniques is beneficial.
* Basic plumbing, masonry, or electrical experience would be considered an asset.
