Role Overview
Quantum Science (QS) has an exciting new opportunity for a Production Chemist who is looking to start a career in the advanced material industry. The candidate will receive excellent training and development opportunities and will play a pivotal role in the process development and production of colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) and other advanced nanomaterials for optoelectronic applications.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Plan and develop safe, cost-effective manufacturing processes for colloidal quantum dots in large reactors, scaling up from lab to full-scale commercial processes to meet material demands of industrial partners and contractors in a timely manner.
2. Provide technical solutions and troubleshoot manufacturing issues based on safety protocols and environmental and regulatory requirements to ensure high-quality products at pilot and industrial production scales.
3. Assess equipment and facilities during the scale-up process, including maintenance schedules and overall equipment effectiveness, to ensure efficient resource utilization.
4. Work closely with R&D and scale-up team members for technology transfer from R&D to pilot plant and/or full-scale manufacturing.
5. Continuously optimize and develop existing and new product lines to ensure the best quality and cost-effectiveness.
6. Provide and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing processes and testing techniques for existing and new products.
7. Prepare and submit written reports on undertaken work in a timely manner.
Skills and Experience
* Bachelor's or MSc degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, material science, or a similar discipline.
* Laboratory experience in nanomaterial synthesis and characterization is advantageous.
* At least 1 year of industrial experience in multi-stage process development, setting up reactors and manufacturing lines, and scaling up products, particularly colloidal quantum dots and nanomaterials.
* Practical hands-on approach in the lab, with excellent self-starting abilities and team collaboration skills.
* Flexibility and willingness to work in a multidisciplinary team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Achieving project milestones.
* Timely reporting of results to the team leader.
* Sending all samples to QS teams and customers on time.
* Identifying necessary equipment and carrying out procurement if needed.
