Our PMO Yorkshire Northeast team seeks to expand its Controls community. With regional growth, including new Major Programmes, Projects, and Clients, we seek flexible, mobile Planning, Scheduling, Performance Reporting, and Risk Management professionals to serve our local region. Travel within Yorkshire and the Northeast may be required based on project needs. In return, you'll access diverse sectors such as Power, Water, Rail, Mass Transit, Local Authority, and Shipyards. You'll have opportunities to apply your expertise to bespoke client solutions, develop professionally with support from our network of line managers, and stretch your capabilities.
You will be part of our Project Controls team on high-profile infrastructure projects, providing performance reporting and analysis. Your role may involve working within a large team or as the primary contact with the client.
Typical responsibilities include collaborating with cost and planning engineers to develop work breakdown structures, establishing progress and cost monitoring methods, producing control reports, and offering performance analysis and recommendations.
Applicants should have experience in a project controls environment within sectors like Energy, Defence, Rail, Airports, Highways, or Water/Utilities. Knowledge in Programme Controls Management, Earned Value (EVM), Change & Risk Management, Planning, or PMO is also required.
* A qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some project control experience.
* Experience managing delivery or controls within projects, programmes, or portfolios.
* Proficiency with Primavera (P6), Power BI, Microsoft Office.
* Ability to work independently and in teams.
* Strong time management, quick thinking, and deadline adherence.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Knowledge of planning principles and schedule construction.
* Experience with assurance reviews using Primavera Schedlog, Acumen Fuse, or DCMA 14 Point Checklist.
* Skills in schedule monitoring, baseline management, progress data collection, and variance reporting.
* Ability to evaluate project status and promote a positive schedule management culture.
