Mon – Fri 08:00 -10:30. Minimum of 2.5 hours per day. Potentially up to four hours per day during peak holiday periods.
Duties and responsibilities include
* all aspects of caring for cats and small pets, including, confident and kind handling, e.g. putting pets into their carriers; administering medications, etc.
* delivering the highest standards of hygiene through impeccable cleaning skills
* dog walking for which a good understanding of canine behaviours is necessary; ability to lead-walk two dogs simultaneously is essential; must have a caring, commanding and consistent approach that dogs respect
* liaising with customers, both in person & by phone, in a friendly, approachable and articulate manner
* good literacy and numeracy skills with very neat hand-writing for dealing with bookings.
* logical mind with attention to detail and pride in work
* ability to work under pressure when business is busy
Would suit any age person who is very active. The post needs someone who is able to commit to being faultlessly punctual and reliable but ideally will also have the ability to be flexible when given sufficient advance warning.
The post is likely to suit someone living within walking distance or who'd have just a short bike or car journey. Free car parking on site.
Pay is based on government minimum wage and is reviewed annually. However, the rate is negotiable depending on qualifications/experience.
