The Educational Institute of Scotland Administrative Assistant Organisation Further Education (Grade B) Starting Salary £38,880 (with scale increases over 4 years to £43,740) The EIS is Scotland’s largest and most influential trade union and professional association for teachers and lecturers, with over 60,000 members working in all education sectors and at all career stages. We are currently seeking a full time Administrative Assistant to join our Organisation Department. The post will involve a wide range of duties, including work in connection with the EIS Further Education Lecturers Association (FELA), clerical support to National Officers, organisation of FELA ballots and departmental support. The candidate should have significant experience of office administration. The role also requires a high level of knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work under pressure and on your own initiative is also necessary. This is a full-time position based in our headquarters in Moray Place, Edinburgh. However, the Institute has a Flexible Working Patterns policy offering all members of staff a high degree of flexibility over the time and location at which work is carried out, subject to the overall requirements of the EIS and its members.
