We have an opportunity for an experienced and motivated Technical Support Officer to join our Nuclear New Build (NNB) Joint Programme Office, providing essential operational support to enable the delivery of safety and environmental regulation of the UK NNB programme. The post holder will support the team in:
Meetings Management
* Ensuring meetings are scheduled, with all information accurately tracked
* Following up queries from Developer Interface Offices
* Provide a secretariat role at key Programme / Project meetings; ensuring key actions and decisions are recorded, ensuring all papers and briefing packs are prepared (as necessary)
Project Management Tools
* Input and analysis of data, maintenance of project Dashboards, Risk Registers, Progress Reports
* Assist in producing quality management information from spreadsheets
Regulatory Information Processing
* Ensuring that information flows seamlessly between regulators
* Processing information whilst ensuring it is saved in accordance with Records Management policy
* Ensuring that data logs are maintained to provide an audit trail
You will also support the Environment Agency’s incident response work. There are many roles to choose from, and full training will be provided.
Team
The Environment Agency (EA) and the Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) work collaboratively to deliver safety and environmental regulation of Nuclear New Build. To enable effective and efficient support, we maintain a Joint Programme Office, based at ONR’s headquarters in Bootle, Merseyside. Our projects assess new nuclear reactor designs as part of Generic Design Assessment; and deliver the required environmental permits and safety licenses that enable construction and operation of proposed new nuclear power stations.
Qualifications
* Motivated and experienced individual, able to work independently or as part of a team
* Experience of working in a busy environment with ability to deliver excellent results under pressure
* Excellent organisational skills
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a broad range of internal and external customers and stakeholders
* Fluency in IT skills encompassing O365 applications
