Join our Mid Sussex team as a child contact centre manager.
AG Family Support has been making a positive difference in the lives of children and families since 2015. We are a reputable provider of independent social work, family support, and child contact services (also known as family time ) to local authorities, the courts, and members of the public in the UK and also run child contact centres in Sussex, Suffolk and Essex.
We are recruiting an experienced manager who can bring a background working with families and children combined with strong administration and IT skills to run our two contact centres in West Sussex (Haywards Heath and Hassocks) as well as community based sessions across the region. It is also essential to have previous staff management experience including supervision and support, for our team of local child contact supervisors and family support workers.
This is a full time, home based, position (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm) and applicants must have a suitable space to work at home uninterrupted and where they can undertake confidential video meetings and phone calls. In addition they must live within a 30 minute drive of either Hassocks or Haywards Heath as attendance there will be needed periodically including for staff meetings, occasional co-working with the duty manager, and for training.
This position involves working with parents, mainly via email, phone and video meetings, at challenging times in their life so a calm, professional and robust personality is needed.
Main responsibilities undertaken may include, but not be limited to:
· Liaising with parents, solicitors, social workers and contact supervisors to plan for sessions
. Undertaking referral meetings with parents
· Line management of the Deputy Manager and a team of Child Contact Supervisors including undertaking regular supervision meetings.
. Establishing an excellent working relationship with the deputy centre manager and the rest of the centre team.
· Attending and participating at Management meetings and Local Authority Children Services meetings (in person and/or via Zoom and Teams)
· Sending out AGFS referral documents and costings
. Preparing quotes for Local Authorities
· Dealing with any queries that may be raised before or after a Contact Session
· Raising invoices for private clients.
· Liaising with our proof-reading team regarding contact reports
· Distribution of contact reports to parents/and or social workers
· Meeting the day-to-day administration needs of the Centre.
Experience required:-
* Excellent IT skills. Including frequent use of MS Word, Excel, Teams and Zoom, Dropbox and other software as we continue to grow. All our work is using MAC computers, previous MAC experience ideal, but not essential. (A laptop will be supplied)
* Ability to accurately and expediently work with figures, generating quotes and accurate invoices in a timely manner
- Experience working with families
* Robust and resilient. You will be dealing with families at very challenging time in their lives
* Confident to attend meetings, this would include both internal management in person meetings and external local authority children's services meetings via video.
* At least 4 years of management experience ideally within a related service dealing with other organisations, professionals and members of the public
* Experience of staff management and supervision
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Training & Support
· You would undertake a thorough induction training prior to assuming the role. This training will take place in person, online and remotely.
· You will receive regular supervision and further training to assist you in delivering the best possible outcomes for the children and families we work with
· You will have a direct Line Manager
Competitive Pay:
· Salary is £33,150 per annum, plus the opportunity to join the pension scheme
