An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to join our Adult Mental Health Psychological Therapies team in Cowal and Bute. The post holder will be aligned with the Cowal and Bute Community Mental Health Teams, but may be required to provide services across Argyll and Bute depending on service needs. You should be enthusiastic about multidisciplinary working and experienced in managing a caseload. Clinical expertise in mental health, relevant experience, and knowledge of current national policies are essential. You should be confident in assessing and treating complex cases and comfortable with a blended intervention model using virtual clinics and face-to-face contact. Although travel within Argyll and Bute may be required, new working methods aim to ensure rural populations are not disadvantaged.
Applicants must have at least a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, be accredited or working towards accreditation with BABCP, hold a relevant Master’s Degree (from backgrounds such as Nursing, Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work), and possess excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills. We welcome applications from those interested in flexible work arrangements, including hybrid remote and on-site working. A potential relocation package may be available.
