Kinetic Recruitment are currently looking for a Workshop Assistant based in Westhoughton. You will be working within a company who is a service supplier of electronic instruments for measuring, testing and navigation; they have been established for over 20 years. You will be mainly working within the workshop, however there will be some office duties. This is a temporary position with the possibility to become permanent after 12 weeks for the right candidate. Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm Friday: 8am - 3:45pm (45-minute lunch break) Pay: £12.21 per hour The role of Workshop Assistant will include: * Inputting information and data into a computerised system * Communicating within the team and speaking to customers * Setting up customer orders * Allocating orders * Booking equipment and deliveries * Unpacking and packing equipment * Unboxing * Prepping for workers on benches * Working within a small team in a busy repair/service depot environment * Completing various paperwork/administration * Answering telephones * Preparing quotes * Processing invoices The ideal candidate will need to have: * Experience of working within a workshop environment would be a great advantage * Experience within a similar role (tyre bay, garage, metal workshop, timber suppliers, or any employment where direct contact between administration and workshop is required) * Excellent communication skills to support working within a busy team * Attention to detail * Confident computer skills This is a successful, family-run business with the opportunity to go permanent in time.
