Security Certification Engineer - Embedded / Mobile

This company is one of the biggest players in the semiconductor industry, and is looking to hire a Mobile Security Certification Engineer with a specialism in either Mobile or Embedded development. They are looking for an engineer to ensure the security certification of mobile, IoT, and network devices. As a member of this esteemed group, you'll contribute your expertise to address the security needs of government clients worldwide, both now and in the future.
The right candidate for this role will be passionate about cybersecurity, possess a strong technical background, communicate effectively, work well in a team environment, and will be committed to ensuring the security and integrity of the products and solutions they will be working on.
Day-to-day duties:
- Collaborate with government bodies and advisory panels to meet local cybersecurity standards, reinforcing our reputation as a trusted partner.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, including sales, pre-sales, tech support, and R&D teams, to align product development with evolving security requirements.
- Produce comprehensive documentation outlining certification processes and technical specifications.
- Identify and articulate security issues to development teams effectively, ensuring prompt resolution.
- Craft certification plans and oversee their execution, including attending meetings with certification bodies and clients.
Must-haves:
- Proven experience (3-6 years minimum) in Security Accreditation and Assurance (CC, FIPS, CPA, CSPN, BSPA)
- Familiarity with Mobile and IoT industry standards.
- Ability to develop accreditation strategies, assess security architecture, and conduct threat and risk assessments.
- Proficiency in documenting technical processes and presentations using standard tools.
- Strong self-motivation, problem-solving skills, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Solid analytical and logical reasoning capabilities.
Bonus skills:
- Familiarity with container/sandboxing solutions like TrustZone, Linux Container, SE Android, etc.
- Experience with security-sensitive solutions such as DRM, Mobile Payment/Banking, and Secure communication.
- Knowledge of Python and C++ programming languages, especially for verifying security requirements and writing test code.
- Previous involvement in real-time embedded software development, particularly for mobile devices.
