D is speech delayed although his communication is improving he can become frustrated when he cannot express himself. D likes to be on the go all the time and requires constant supervision, he likes going to the park he is good at gymnastics & climbing and is fascinated by buses and trains. What you would be doing… Supporting D with opportunities to develop his independence away from his mum and his home environment. D will develop his safety skills when in the community with you, he will be able to choose what he wants to do and where he wants to go with you as his 1:1 worker, empowering him to make his own decisions and develop his confidence. D will also have an opportunity to socialise with other young people and develop his social and communication skills.
