Are you interested in passing on your brick laying, painting and decorating and carpentry skills to the next generation of young construction workers? Would working on a site that is a scheduled monument and of historic significance in Susses interest you? This exciting role will include: Working alongside Newhaven Fort staff and volunteers to renovate and decorate the site in preparation for visitors. Demonstrating and providing technical support in the use tools, equipment and materials needed to undertake the renovation work. Confidently liaising with the Newhaven Fort Manager and curriculum staff. Working with young people to help them achieve set project briefs for various aspects of the work. If you can demonstrate the following, then we’d love to hear from you: You can communicate effectively with young people and curriculum and Charleston staff You are able to work as part of team. You have relevant experience as a multi-skills practitioner able to work at a competent level in painting and decorating, bricklaying and carpentry. You are a well-organised self-starter and can work independently when required Closing Date: 5th August 2025.
