As a Logistics Co‑ordinator & Load Builder, you will play an essential role in supporting our key customer, Tata Steel. Working on‑site, you will be responsible for creating and planning UK road loads within their SAP system, ensuring all delivery plans are met, loads are optimised and urgent requests are handled efficiently. Working hours for this role are 40 hours per week. The position is permanent and full‑time based on‑site in Newport, Wales.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Plan loads for all UK road movements, ensuring timely delivery to multiple destinations
* Manage urgent delivery requests and resolve any planning issues promptly
* Provide detailed and accurate load information to customer services
* Maximise payloads through optimal load building and identifying multi‑drop opportunities
* Maintain strong communication with customers and suppliers to ensure smooth operations
* Prepare and manage documentation for efficient customer returns
* Ensure system data is accurate, complete and updated as required
* Deputise for the Despatch Planning and Road Scheduling Team Leader when necessary
About you
* You are organised, proactive and confident in managing your own workload
* Strong communication skills and excellent customer service are essential
* Ideally, you have previous experience in a logistics role, along with good IT and numeracy skills
* Experience with SAP is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided
* Knowledge of UK geography and health and safety awareness would also be beneficial
