Printer Operative
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Printer Operative to join our well-established client based in Irlam, Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great benefits and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.
We are looking for a motivated candidate that would like to start their career in the Printing Industry with a clear progression path.
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00 (rotating weekly)
Pay rate: £13.21 per hour / overtime after 37.5 hours is £18 per hour.

Day-to-day duties: As a Printer Operative, your duties will include (but not be limited to):
* Set up, operate, and run digital printing presses
* Prepare and check artwork and materials prior to printing
* Monitor print quality, colour accuracy, and registration
* Completing paperwork and inputting data accurately into the system
* Make adjustments to press settings during production runs
* Carry out routine maintenance and basic fault finding
* Meet production targets while maintaining quality standards
* Follow health & safety procedures at all times
* Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe
* Reporting defective machine parts promptly
Essential skills: To be successful as a Printer Operative, you will need:
* Previous machine operation and machinery skills
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
* Experience operating digital printing presses is preferred
* Quality control expertise
* Proficiency in using hand tools
* Strong communication skills
* The ability to work effectively in a team environment
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Wanting to progress within the company.
* Math skills; GCSE C / Grade 5 and above.
* PC Skills
* Being able to deal with time frames and high pressure.
* Manual handling involved up to 25kg.
* Must be able to get to the site for 0600am. And have transport to get home at 2000.
* Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
* Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required
Training: Full training will be provided on-site, with continued development opportunities.
