Save Share Apply now Ackerman Pierce is currently supporting a leading local authority who are looking to recruit a Approved Mental Health Practitioner based in Windsor & Maidenhead This will be on a permanent basis paying £45,831-£54,997 P/Annum plus £3,000 annual retention bonus.
Responsibilities include:
1. Working with Vulnerable Adults with Mental Health
2. To undertake statutory duties related to the care of adults and of their carers as
defined in the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Mental Health Act 1983
3. To keep up-to-date with developments, products and information relating to the
service and the rest of the council to ensure that appropriate and timely information is
given to customers.
4. To ensure proportionate risk assessments for both the customer and the carer
associated with any support plan have been carried out.
5. To undertake reviews of customers with long term needs as required and within
statutory timelines and carry out reassessments as required
To develop and maintain effective working relationships with all partners (both
internal and external) to ensure that the team can deliver a co-ordinated,
timely and appropriate service to the customer
To prepare and present reports for mental health reviews, tribunals in respect of
services users who are subject to detention under the MHA 1983
6. Care management
7. Report writing and assessment
8. Carrying a caseload of service users
9. Liaising with other professional bodies whilst working within the Mental Health Act
10. Safeguarding Adults
Experience Essential:
11. Experience as an AMHP with extensive knowledge of the Mental Health Act and mental health social work practice
12. Practice Educator Award or commitment to undertake the training (or equivalent)
13. Able to demonstrate a proven ability (or understanding of the skills and knowledge required) to work independently as a senior practitioner managing risks and safeguarding
Minimum Requirements:
14. SWE Registration
15. 1 year post qualifying experience within the UK Social Care industry
16. Enhanced DBS/CRB (we can obtain for you)
