Healthcare Support Worker - Portland Ward

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and dynamic Health Care Support Worker to join the progressive and dedicated team on Portland ward at University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust, based at Poole Hospital.
Portland Ward is a 14 bedded Acquired Brain Injury & neurology Ward.
The successful candidate will require excellent communication skills and a commitment to maintaining and developing high standards. A friendly and patient-centred approach is vital to this exciting role.

Any other changes not related to this relocation will be managed according to the relevant Trust or National terms and conditions.

Person Specification
* Ability to manage own caseload with access to qualified staff
* Venepuncture and Cannulation
Knowledge
* An understanding of basic patient care
* Knowledge of care related procedures and observations relevant to ward speciality
Qualifications
* Good standard of numeracy and literacy
* Completion of a competency-based workbook or equivalent relevant experience to vocational level 3.
* Short courses to undertake patient and clinical care duties
