The Governors of this forward-thinking school are looking to appoint a highly motivated teaching assistant to work in our school. Hurst Knoll St James’ CE Primary School combines good achievement, extremely high standards of care and a Christian ethos approach to learning.
As a teaching assistant we are looking to appoint someone who:

* Is able to provide support across school Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
* Is committed to supporting the development of independent lifelong learners
* Is familiar with, and has an understanding of, the National Curriculum and its requirements
* Believes in a creative and imaginative approach to learning
* Is proactive, reflective and uses initiative to further develop teaching and learning and enhance progress
* Is effective in supporting the class teacher to raise attainment and achievement
* Passionately believes in a Christian values/spiritually led ethos and that every child matters.
* Is an effective team member and is willing to go ‘above and beyond’ in contributing to the ‘wider life’ of the school.
* Where necessary, has the skills and confidence to be able to cover a class in the absence of the teacher.
