The Facilities Manager will be responsible for all west Sort center operations facilities planning and for managing our 3rd party service providers for maintenance and facilities services.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Responsible for driving the HI project, Project Elevate, and HK SOP standardization activity in the west region as per project elevate guidelines.
* Oversee overall building and facilities maintenance (Reliability, Performance, Cost, etc.).
* Manage equipment maintenance (Trolleys, Conveyors, work stations, Labeling Machines, PLC control systems, electrical systems, etc.) leading a team of 3rd party technicians.
* Develop and apply Preventive Maintenance routines on equipment.
* Develop and implement vendor AMCs with appropriate service levels for equipment.
* Coordinate material purchasing with the Procurement Team.
* Develop and maintain spare parts inventory.
* Provide feedback and analysis on equipment performance and availability.
* Manage day-to-day equipment issues with Operations teams, defining priorities and organizing work.
* Manage a team of Maintenance technicians and 3rd party facilities service providers; set goals, organize staff planning, and training to ensure service levels.
* Ensure a safe working environment by applying Amazon Safety Policy and collaborating with the Safety team.
* Maintain building housekeeping to meet 5S standards.
* Support the Engineering team in installing new equipment.
* Lead within the group and collaborate with other teams.
* Provide creative, out-of-the-box solutions and technical guidance during critical events.
* Promote a positive work environment and work diligently.
Key Job Responsibilities:
The candidate should have knowledge of HVAC systems and be the POC for the west region to drive Heat Index projects, Project Elevate, and SOP standardization by coordinating all stakeholders.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls Engineering or Diploma holder (Engineer preferred) with equivalent experience.
* 4+ years of experience in industrial or commercial engineering in Mission Critical facilities.
* Significant experience in a similar role in fast-paced industrial, logistics, production, or manufacturing environments.
* Results-oriented with strong analytical, leadership, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a cross-functional environment with minimal supervision.
* Background in Electrical and Mechanical systems, including installation, commissioning, and operations of electrical distribution systems (HT & LT), HVAC, fire alarm and suppression systems, building MEP systems, and material handling equipment.
* Experience managing subcontractors to ensure quality work.
* Proficient in troubleshooting, fault finding, and repairs.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Previous supervisory experience managing teams.
* Computer skills including MS Office, CMMS, and AutoCAD (preferred).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BE or Diploma in Electrical/Electronics with over 4 years of experience in warehousing, building services, manufacturing, utilities, automation, and controls.
