Part-Time Cleaner (Maternity Cover 9–12 Months)
Location: Greenholm Primary School, Birmingham, B44 8HS
Hours: 11:30am – 1:30pm, Monday to Friday (All Year Round)
Contract: Fixed Term (9–12 Months – Maternity Cover)
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join our friendly primary school team in Birmingham. This is a part-time, fixed-term position to provide maternity cover for approximately 9–12 months.
The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for our pupils, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cleaning classrooms, corridors, offices and communal areas
* Cleaning toilets and washroom facilities
* Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
* Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately
* Wiping down surfaces, desks, doors and touch points
* Replenishing consumables (e.g. soap, paper towels)
* Reporting any maintenance or health and safety concerns
* Ensuring cleaning equipment is used and stored safely
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
* Be reliable, punctual and able to work independently
* Take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness
* Understand the importance of health and safety in a school environment
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
