Are you an experienced Project Manager with expertise in capital works projects? This role is based in our Property (Services) directorate which employs over 300 people, many of whom have worked here for some years and have knowledge and experience to support you in the achievement of your goals. What You'll Be Doing: Oversee the full life cycle of capital works projects—from detailed surveys and specifications to tendering and delivery Manage a shared budget of £10 million across diverse remits including insurance, disrepair, structural, and investment works Ensure compliance with Decent Homes Standard, CDM 2015 regulations, and carbon reduction targets Lead contract administration, procurement (JCT), and health & safety (including asbestos and risk management) Build strong partnerships with contractors and stakeholders to deliver high-quality, cost-effective outcomes Provide strategic updates on financials, delivery, H&S, and customer satisfaction What Success Looks Like: Projects delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards Surplus value optimised and installation costs reduced H&S performance in the upper quartile Customer satisfaction targets exceeded Good quality accurate reporting A flexible, high-performing team culture with continuous improvement at its core What We're Looking For: Professional Surveying Qualification (MCIOB, AssocRICS) and/or equivalent experience HND or Degree in Building Construction/Surveying Minimum 5 years' experience managing large-scale property capital works Strong knowledge of JCT contracts, CDM2015, NHF SOR, and QS principles Commercially astute with excellent analytical, planning, and leadership skills A pragmatic problem-solver with a passion for customer service and innovation Report writing skills with a good and a good understanding of procurement processes and procedures in a regulated environment Full UK driving licence required and to vehicle Where could this role take you?
