Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a proven track record in managing busy kitchen environments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of food preparation, ensure high standards of food safety, and inspire creativity within the kitchen. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of dishes, supervising kitchen staff, and upholding the organisation's reputation for excellence.

Duties

* Lead and manage the entire kitchen team, including sous chefs, cooks, and kitchen assistants, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
* Oversee all aspects of food production, ensuring dishes meet quality standards and are prepared efficiently.
* Develop innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends while catering to customer preferences.
* Supervise food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency, presentation, and adherence to health and safety regulations.
* Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control food costs to optimise profitability.
* Implement and maintain strict food safety protocols in compliance with legal requirements and organisational policies.
* Train staff on proper cooking techniques, food presentation, hygiene standards, and customer service.
* Collaborate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
* Monitor kitchen operations during service hours to resolve any issues promptly and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation.

Experience

* Proven supervising experience within a professional kitchen environment, ideally in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
* Extensive background in food production, cooking, and food preparation across diverse cuisines.
* Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate staff and foster teamwork.
* Demonstrable experience in culinary innovation, menu development, and presentation excellence.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hygiene management.
* Previous restaurant experience with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with serving procedures within a hospitality context is advantageous. This role is suited for a dedicated culinary professional eager to lead a dynamic team while maintaining high standards of excellence in every aspect of the kitchen operation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £37,000.00-£47,000.00 per year
