What is the job role?
The Service is seeking a tutor with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to design, plan, deliver and report on Leadership, Management and Team Leading programmes including apprenticeships. The role will focus on the delivery of Leadership, Management and Team Leading including apprenticeships, supporting current and new partnerships. Provision will be delivered during the daytime, evening and at weekends, throughout the year, to meet identified needs. You will also be required to support & deliver (non)accredited courses taught online and/or face-to-face in a range of community settings within the city.
You will be joining a team of highly experienced tutors who are very supportive of each other. There are opportunities for staff development and continuing professional development and we aspire to be outstanding in the delivery of teaching, learning and assessment.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
Who are we looking for?
An experienced adult educator with relevant skills, knowledge and experience to design, plan, deliver and report on Leadership & Management / Team Leading programmes including apprenticeships, whilst also supporting employment courses where personal and professional development.
You will have up to date knowledge of curriculum practice and issues, and relevant teaching experience delivering on apprenticeship programmes and within a community-based adult education context in the specified subject area. You will need to demonstrate the ability to deliver an (in)formal, culturally competent, and inclusive curriculum to raise aspirations and make a difference to residents from diverse backgrounds within the city.
You will have experience of setting individual targets and evaluating learner progress and achievements through accredited and non-accredited provision. You must evidence a good understanding of equity and inclusion, safeguarding and Prevent and be proactive in relation to safeguarding young people and vulnerable adults.
You will have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to a range of audiences and have the skills to promote Adult Education provision using a range of methods, including social media.
You should have English and Maths qualification at Level 2, a teaching qualification at Level 3. A subject specification qualification at Level 4 or equivalent is also desirable. The ability and willingness to teach in a range of venues within in the city, and throughout the year, is important.
