About the role
PK Education is working with a specialist primary inclusion resource in Dudley to recruit passionate SEND Teaching Assistants. This is a rewarding opportunity to support primary-and secondary aged pupils (EYFS Upper KS2) with a wide range of additional needs, both within the dedicated resource base and in mainstream classrooms.
As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with profound SEND, communication and interaction difficulties, and some SEMH needs.
* Assist pupils with learning, social development, and communication strategies.
* Help manage challenging situations calmly and positively (some pupils may display reactive or physical behaviours).
* Build strong relationships with teachers, parents, and external specialists to support inclusion and pupil progress.
About you
We are looking for someone who is:
* Experienced in supporting SEND pupils or individuals with complex needs.
* Familiar with communication and interaction difficulties and/or SEMH.
* Ideally trained in TEAM TEACH (or equivalent).
* Patient, resilient, and adaptable to varied and complex needs.
* Passionate about supporting inclusion and making a difference to children s lives.
