Overview
My client based in Newcastle are looking for an experienced Metal Polisher to join an expanding team on a permanent basis.
Finishing Standards
Polishing standards are belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror finishing and various RA values. These finishes will be measured using digital surface meters (Tele-surf).
Package
* Salary is £28,450 per annum
* Monday to Thursday
* 07:00 until 16:45
* Up to £360 production bonus per quarter
Responsibilities
* Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror.
* Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components
* Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes.
* Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts.
* In process and finished goods inspection.
* Process auditing.
* Signing first and last inspection reports.
* Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet package.
Essential
* Must have previous metal polishing experience
