Job Title: Regional Sales Manager
Location: Midlands & North-West
Reports to: UK Sales Manager

Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Area Sales Manager to take ownership of a designated territory, responsible for selling our range of point-of-sale (POS) automation components through the electrical wholesale channel. This role combines strategic account development with day-to-day sales activities, focusing on building lasting relationships with electrical wholesalers and driving revenue growth across the territory.
Key Responsibilities:
· Sales & Territory Management: Manage and grow sales within the assigned region by visiting branches of electrical wholesalers, developing strong relationships with branch managers and counter staff, and supporting them with product training and promotions.
· Account Development: Develop strategic partnerships with key wholesale groups and independent wholesalers to increase stock holding and push-through sales.
· POS Product Promotion: Promote and sell a range of POS automation components within wholesale trade counters.
· Training & Support: Deliver product training and commercial support to wholesale partners to help them understand the features and benefits of the product range and to grow their confidence in recommending and selling. Conduct joint visits with the wholesale partners to help develop their business.
· New Business Development: Identify and onboard new wholesale accounts within the territory, targeting under-served areas or potential high-growth customers.
· CRM & Reporting: Maintain up-to-date customer records using CRM tools, track pipeline opportunities, and report weekly on sales activity and market trends.
· Marketing Coordination: Work with the marketing team to roll out promotional campaigns, trade counter events, and local marketing initiatives.
· Market Insight: Gather competitor intelligence and provide feedback on market needs, pricing, and trends.

Candidate Requirements:
· Sales experience in the electrical, automation, or related technology sector.
· Strong understanding of the wholesale distribution model and how to sell via channel partners.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
· Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage your own schedule.
· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the assigned territory.
· Experience selling POS or automation products through the electrical wholesale channel.
· Knowledge of wholesaler buying groups (e.g., AWEBB, FEGIME, ANEW, etc.).
· Background in technical sales with a basic understanding of how POS systems function.
· Familiarity with CRM software and reporting tools.
