About the role
Knowsley Children’s Social Care is seeking to recruit an Experienced Practitioner to work within the fostering support and supervision of foster carers team. The successful candidate will undertake regular supervision, support, and unannounced visits to a variety of approved Foster Carers, including Mainstream Carers and Family and Friend’s Foster Carers.
Responsibilities
* Provide regular supervision, support, and unannounced visits to approved Foster Carers.
* Engage with children, young people, families and partner agencies in line with current legislation and regulations.
* Work in partnership to support the Mockingbird programme, which supports cared-for children and their foster carers.
Qualifications and requirements
* Qualified and professionally registered social worker.
* Knowledge of current legislation and regulations relevant to children’s services.
* Experience in partnership work with children, young people, families and partner agencies.
* Understanding of the Mockingbird programme.
