We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated Assistant Category Manager to be part of our Procurement Team at United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust based in the vibrant city of Lincoln.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be responsible for providing operational support to the category management team and undertaking specific procurement exercises, demonstrating expertise and knowledge in the administration and award of public sector contracts. Working within the Clinical Category Team and alongside key internal stakeholders across the wider Lincolnshire Integrated Care System, the post holder will be expected to provide effective support as a business partner in the delivery of our procurement service and strategy.
Qualifications
* Business Degree or the Diploma in Procurement & Supply from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (or evidence of advanced active study towards this qualification), or recent relevant equivalent experience.
Experience
* An understanding of Public Sector and/or Procurement procedures
* Experience in a large and complex commercial organisation
* General experience in establishing commercial contracts
* Dealing with suppliers at all levels
* Experience at providing a high level customer service
* Experience of operating as part of a a small team
* Low level tendering and contracting
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to influence others using persuasion and interpersonal sills
* Computer sills to include word processing, spreadsheets and databases
* Awareness and Knowledge of the dignity in care agenda
* Ability to evidence/demonstrate key values and behaviours in line with the Trust framework: oPatient Centred oSafety oCompassion oRespect and oExcellence
* Analytical skills
