Graduate Teaching Assistant

Area: Northampton

Salary: 95-120 per day (varied depending on experience and qualifications)

Hours of work: Full Time or Part Time

Start date: September 2025

Monarch Education are recruiting Graduates or current university students to take on a range of Teaching Assistant and Learning Mentor roles in schools within the Kettering Area. Experience working in school is not a necessity, just a willingness to learn and take on a new challenge!

Applicants should have experience working with young people in any capacity, this could be as a Sports Coach, Dance Teacher, Scout/Guide Leader ect. We are looking for people who want to transfer their skills into a Teaching Assistant or Academic Coach Role. The role is a fantastic opportunity for people considering a career in teaching and could be the first step to starting your career in education!

Requirements Of The Candidate

* Experience working with young people
* A strong team player, with excellent organisation and interpersonal skills, who is able to support and inspire children to learn
* Excellent communication skills
* Experience working collaboratively in a dynamic and supportive environment
* The ability to adapt to an ever changing workload
* The readiness to learn and take on a new challenge

Responsibilities

* Supporting the classroom teacher
* Monitoring pupil progress
* Working with students 1to1 or in small groups
* Behaviour Management
* Working closely with and teaching staff and members of the school community
