About The Team
You will join the Advice, Guidance & Support Team within the Early Help and Targeted Support service. Early Help Coordinators (EHCOs) support practitioners and partners in the community who work directly with children and families. EHCOs are non case-holding roles which facilitate the Early Help approach to respond to emerging and escalating needs.
Your role
You will work with practitioners from a wide range of organisations to identify needs and resources with children and families, agree next steps and follow up to ensure practitioners lead on coordinated packages of support that improve outcomes for children, young people and families using Gloucestershire’s Graduated Pathway of Early Help. You will be part of a skilled team, develop positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and coordinate Early Help services to make a positive difference for children, families and communities. EHCOs also develop and deliver practitioner training and mentor/coaching to disseminate best practice.
About You
You will need experience of working with children, young people, families and/or communities, and effective partnership working. You should have experience in a team providing preventative services, with the ability to problem solve and work creatively with partners to meet needs. You will use IT and case management systems and be able to prioritise your time and workload to meet timescales. The role involves a mix of agile and hybrid working, with office (Tewkesbury) and county-wide activities.
Essential requirements:
* a full driving licence and willingness to drive
* DBS clearance
