Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Your contributions will significantly enhance the quality of life for those you assist, making a positive impact in their daily routines. The role requires mandatory training from CareHires, which will be provided to the successful candidates.
Responsibilities
* Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
* Support individuals with mobility and movement around the care home or within their own homes.
* Help with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Maintain accurate care plans and documentation to track residents' progress and needs.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care.
* Participate in training sessions and team meetings to continually improve care practices.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities when required, ensuring their safety during transport.
Skills
* Strong communication skills in English to interact effectively with residents and team members.
* Experience or knowledge of care home environments and home care practices is advantageous.
* Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs.
* Basic IT skills for maintaining records and documentation electronically.
* A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting residents as needed.
