Are you ready to take your engineering career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and technically astute Section Engineer to join our dynamic Thames Water East Hyde STW team in beautiful East Hyde, Bedfordshire.
Location & Hours
Location: East Hyde, Bedfordshire
Hours: 45 hours per week (with some flexibility available—just let us know when you speak to us!)

Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Section Engineer, you will be a vital part of our construction team, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Your daily tasks will include:
* Interpreting design documentation: Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
* Managing site setting out: Oversee surveying activities and resolve design conflicts to minimize delays.
* Coordinating temporary works: Design and approvals in line with site requirements and project timelines.
* Supporting construction teams: Address technical queries and drive value engineering initiatives.
* Ensuring compliance: Adhere to industry standards, quality procedures, and health and safety requirements.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if:
* You hold an HNC/HND or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (or have equivalent experience).
* You can confidently read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
* You have practical experience in infrastructure or wastewater construction projects.
* You are a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills and enjoy building relationships.
* You are detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.
