The Trailfinders Rugby Academy is the academy of Ealing Trailfinders, an ambitious and progressive, rugby union club based in West-London.
The Trailfinders Rugby Academy pathway runs from sixteen years of age through our Ealing Trailfinders Elite Player (ETEP) Program into our University Academy based at Brunel University. The academy’s aim is to produce world class talent through a dual elite rugby and academic journey.

THE ROLE
Lead a team of performance analysts across all men’s Ealing Trailfinders academy teams, to deliver a world class analysis programme to key stakeholders.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
•Manage the weekly training schedule for academy analysis staff to ensure that all academy sessions are covered with correct equipment.
•Ensure that all academy analysis staff are running academy meetings to the standards expected.
•Plan and deliver the matchday process from pre-game setup through to delivering reports.
•Plan and lead on the delivery of opposition analysis to coaches.
•Manage a comprehensive database of all information collected from numerous data sources.
•Provide support across the organisation for all hardware and software.
•Upskill analysts to deliver high quality training packages to coaches – quality check packages to ensure they are up to standard.
•Act as a link between the coaches and the sessions – reviewing and clipping actions as they happen.
•Continue to develop your skills and knowledge.
•Be a strong, consistent example of all the Club’s values and vision.
•Promote, maintain and uphold the standards within the Club.
•Any other reasonable requests.
THE PERSON
EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
•2+ years experience analysing rugby union in a high-performance environment.
•Leading on training and matchday setup of analysis provisions.
•Experience of using Hudl / Sportscode
•Working with coaching groups to provide a consistent analysis service.
•Leading and upskilling performance analysts.
DESIRABLE
•Managing a team of analysts in a high-performance environment.
•Utilising data visualisation tools to present key information.
QUALIFICATIONS
ESSENTIAL
•An undergraduate degree in Sports Performance Analysis/Science/ Coaching or related area.
DESIRABLE
•A postgraduate degree in Sports Performance Analysis/ Science/Coaching or related area.
SKILLSET
ESSENTIAL
•Excellent knowledge of Rugby Union both tactically and technically.
•Ability to think creatively and problem solve.
•Experience of visualising data (Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
DESIRABLE
•Designing and building data analytics processes to produce key performance reports.
