Overview
Technical Asset Manager role at BayWa r.e. EMEA. You will join the Wind Asset Manager team to support one of our clients. You will take overall ownership of several operational wind farms, supported by Regional Site Managers and other team members, ensuring successful delivery of the BayWa r.e. contracted scope of services.
What Youll Do
* Customer Relations – Primary contact for site owners, managing all customer queries, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and to the highest standards.
* Contract Management – Manage all contracts and agreements associated with the sites, ensuring that all requirements and obligations are met and managing all breaches on behalf of the owners.
* Operations Management – Manage internal and external resources to plan works with production maximisation as the goal, helping to define and manage the annual OPEX budgets.
* Technical Analysis – Perform detailed technical analysis to determine factors and trends that impact production and asset life.
* Contractor Management – Measure contractor performance, ensure all obligations are met, and define and measure KPIs to ensure value to the customer.
* Information Management – Ensure all historical data and documentation are complete and available to the customer.
* Reporting – Create detailed customer reports on site performance and contractual compliance and provide recommendations to customers.
* Procurement – Lead or support the procurement process for appointing contractors for specific works and for new O&M arrangements.
* Technical Advisory – Integrate BayWa r.e sites under construction into operations, perform due diligence and onboarding of new sites from tenders, advise customers on technical queries, and manage additional service projects.
What Youll Need To Succeed
* Education – Degree qualified in Engineering, Project Management or related discipline; consideration given to those without a degree but able to demonstrate relevant experience.
* Experience – Prior experience managing the technical operations of onshore wind farms or similar technologies.
* Industry Knowledge – Understanding of wind turbine technology, wind farm operations, SCADA systems, wind farm balance of plant equipment and UK HSE legislation.
* Contract Management – Proven ability to manage contracts, read, understand and enforce contractual obligations.
* Analysis – Attention to detail, ability to manipulate and assess data to identify patterns and trends.
* Communication – Customer-oriented with strong written and verbal communication and negotiation skills at all levels.
* Personality – Well-prepared, organized, able to manage competing priorities and meet targets and deadlines.
* IT Skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent Excel skills.
* Drivers Licence – Valid licence required due to the nature of the role.
* Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable (not essential)
* Valid IOSH or NEBOSH qualification.
* Specialist wind industry experience in mechanical or electrical engineering or environmental management.
