About the Role
Positions: Part-time and full-time
Key Stages: KS1 and KS2
Location: Primary schools across Wakefield
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting learning, promoting pupil development, and helping to create inclusive and engaging classrooms that enable every child to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting teachers in delivering creative, inclusive, and engaging lessons.
* Delivering 1:1 support or small-group interventions to boost confidence and learning progress.
* Assisting with classroom management, learning resources, and general daily activities.
* Creating a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for all pupils.
* Contributing to wider school life, enrichment activities, and whole-school initiatives.
What We’re Looking For
We would like to hear from candidates who have:
* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in KS1 and/or KS2.
* Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and personal development.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* A proactive, flexible, and reliable approach to school life.
* An Enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one.
