Location: Alfreton, Derbyshire
Salary: £26,000 - £32,746 per annum

The Role
They are looking for an Audio Visual Technician who will operate as part of a regional team that is based at the Midlands Hub near Alfreton Derbyshire. The successful candidate will be required to support the Midlands Region as a whole, operating within Leicester, Birmingham, Derby and Sheffield. From time to time, they may require your support with Nationwide or European events. Depending on the AV discipline required, this could involve assisting with the preparation, planning and production of large-scale live events and equipment hires.
As this is a skilled position within their Technical team, they are keen to hear from candidates who have some technical knowledge of Audio-visual systems within adaptable and flexible approach to work. They are willing to teach the right candidate, but some knowledge is required.
What you'll need to succeed:

General IT and PC skills, including Microsoft office 365

Key Responsibilities
Prep, scan, test and load equipment into vehicles
Delivering, rigging, and operating a large range of audio-visual equipment for a wide variety of live, virtual and hybrid events
Assistance with diagnosing and reporting equipment faults
Give Technical advice and support
Basic vehicle maintenance and cleanliness
Assist with warehouse duties
Skills and Qualifications
Have a full UK driving licence ( essential )
Experience driving LWB Vans
Be able to demonstrate a confident and professional client facing approach
Work well as part of a team with a can-do attitude
Be able to work in a relatively physically demanding role, with daily handling of heavy flight cases loading into vans
Live within a reasonable commuting distance of their Midlands depot (DE55)
You will have the possibility to learn new skills and expand your knowledge during your time at the regional office as regular training will be offered. The ideal candidate will have an interest in AV and a knowledge of audio, lighting, data/video and Live Streaming equipment would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be afforded the opportunity to learn all the skills/disciplines required to create a successful career within the industry.
The highest levels of customer service are expected at all times and you must be able to deal with pressurised situations in a calm and effective manner. You must be a hardworking individual, able to motivate yourself to work in an organised manner and be well-presented and confident when communicating with others.
A current full driving license is essential. On occasion, this position involves unsociable hours which will include Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
