Job role Assistant Management Accountant Reports to Group Head of FP&A Location Thorpe Park, Leeds, LS15 Package £29,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience Hours of work 37.5 per week. Hours of work will be flexible and dictated by the needs of the business; therefore, it is expected that the successful applicant will work those hours necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the role. The employee will ensure they are working from the office a minimum of 3 days a week (Monday – Friday). The role Overview This is a pivotal role in a fast-paced organisation that supports both the finance team and the wider business. Working closely with the wider finance team and a range of internal stakeholders, the purpose of this role is to assist with Annual Budgeting process and production of timely and accurate financial information, and other analysis to support the business needs. This is a unique role that provides exposure to both FP&A and Management accounts for the right candidate. Key Outputs Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Assist with the preparation of monthly Management Accounts and supporting schedules according to monthly close deadlines. Develop and maintain financial models for Departmental P&Ls and Projects. Prepare ad-hoc commercial analysis and reports as needed to support Operational business leaders in evaluating performance, recommending solutions and next steps. Updating and maintaining the monthly forecast files and consolidation of Group forecasts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather timely inputs for budgets and rolling forecasts. Assist with production of monthly Balance Sheet and Intercompany Reconciliations for group companies. Support the monthly financial reporting process, including variance analysis and management reporting. Report on key financial information, including budgetary variances and other non-financial data and track. Play a key role in delivering ongoing and future system and process improvement projects. Skills, Experience and Qualifications Mandatory Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or AAT qualified, looking for next step. Experience in or Management Accounts positions, analyst positions Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Experience of working under pressure Excellent organisation, time management and multi-tasking skills. Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships. Strong attention to detail. Capable of working both independently and as part of a small team.
