Trainee Project Planner
Location: Bristol and Glasgow
The ideal candidate will have active SC Clearance or be eligible to undergo SC Clearance.
The Experis Academy offers an exciting opportunity for delivery-oriented individuals to be trained and upskilled as Project Planners in the clean energy, defence, and civil decommissioning sectors. We seek ambitious candidates with strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. If you're looking to reskill or develop your project planning skills, this role offers a challenging but rewarding experience that requires excellent customer-facing and team-working skills.
You will support Project Planning activities within a delivery environment and collaborate with like-minded professionals to solve complex problems in the nuclear and infrastructure sectors.
As part of the programme, you will receive training and tools to develop skills in project, programme, and portfolio management (P3M). Training includes project management, planning, controls, Primavera, Excel, and soft skills such as negotiation, presentation, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution, with scenario-based workshops for practical application.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities include:
* Implementing and maintaining project structures
* Developing and maintaining the integrated project schedule
* Aligning scheduling tools with financial and material demand tools
* Providing regular status updates and schedule analysis
* Creating resource/cost-loaded schedules for financial and project status reporting
