Your new company My client provides software analytics for the global data centre industry. Its software application is a leading web-based SaaS platform for the monitoring, management, and analytics of environmental, mechanical, and electrical data. The software helps customers realise significant energy savings ,critical capacity release and risk reduction benefits across their entire network. Your new role In this role, you will collaborate with electricians, software developers, and administrative staff to commission monitoring software in critical infrastructure spaces, including data centres. This role is available with either a 9-5 shift pattern or a 2pm - 10pm pattern, which would be fully remote. Project Delivery: Deliver a portfolio of support-related projects, meeting established criteria. Take ownership of commissioning activities within assigned projects. Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure successful execution of commissioning tasks. Technical Expertise: Prepare for commissioning activities, both office-based and remote. Conduct on-site commissioning, integrating our proprietary cloud-based software. Perform remote commissioning of software and hardware. Investigate and resolve client issues reported via Jira tickets, email, or account managers. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify risks within the department. Develop process improvements within the ISO 27001 framework to mitigate risks. Ensure commissioning activities comply with project timelines and quality management standards (QMS). Support and Communication: Communicate directly with customers to resolve problems. Assist with fault finding and analysis on live systems in a remote support capacity. Perform data analysis and develop analysis/test tools to support general activities. Documentation: Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal and customer-facing software and hardware documentation. What you'll need to succeed Qualifications in building services/mechanical/ electrical Engineering An interest in energy efficiency combined with conventional and upcoming cooling/ventilation technologies. Willingness to work remotely, onsite, across the UK and when required at international sites as well. Good written and verbal skills and able to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues. Strong computer skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
