Position: Communications Manager – Corporate Affairs Location: Hybrid - Basingstoke Client: Global Leading Pharma Type: Full-time contract - 12 months Key Responsibilities: External Communications (≈60%) Lead daily press office operations, including media monitoring, reactive and proactive outreach. Develop and deliver media strategies for key business and scientific milestones. Support senior leaders in external speaking and media engagements. Manage social media campaigns (mainly LinkedIn) and website content. Align messaging with EU and global communications teams. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, influencers, and key stakeholders. Internal Communications (≈40%) Design and execute a strategic internal communications plan for the Hub. Create engaging content highlighting leadership, milestones, and business priorities. Drive employee engagement through clear and inspiring communication. Partner with HR and business leaders on change and culture initiatives. Main Requirements Proven experience in media relations and strategic communications. Strong writing, storytelling, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to operate across multiple markets and within a global, matrixed organisation. Solid understanding of the pharmaceutical or regulated healthcare environment. Nice to Have Background in journalism, communications, public policy, or political affairs. Knowledge of neuroscience, oncology, immunology, or cardiometabolic health. Familiarity with UK and Nordic healthcare or political landscapes. Proficiency in AI and analytics tools (e.g. Copilot, data dashboards). Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sector.
