Construction Manager – Clean Water Pipeline
Location: Near Bexley Heath
Rate: Up to £450 per day (potentially outside IR35)
Contract: 6-month rolling contrac

About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead delivery on a clean water pipeline project in the Bexley Heath area. This role will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of on-site construction activities, ensuring programme, cost, and safety objectives are met.
The successful candidate will coordinate multiple work fronts and subcontractor teams, driving progress through effective leadership, planning, and communication. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives on managing complex infrastructure projects and ensuring delivery excellence in a fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all site construction activities for a live clean water pipeline scheme.
Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to achieve delivery targets.
Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations, project H&S, quality, and environmental standards.
Chair daily coordination meetings and ensure effective site communication.
Oversee construction sequencing, temporary works, and interfaces between civil, mechanical, and commissioning activities.
Monitor progress and performance, ensuring timely completion of works within budget and programme constraints.
Review and approve RAMS, permits, and inspection test plans.
Support the Project Manager in stakeholder engagement, reporting, and risk management.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Manager on clean water, utilities, or major civil infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple teams.
In-depth knowledge of H&S legislation, CDM regulations, and quality control.
Excellent stakeholder communication and reporting ability.
CSCS Gold or Black Card (essential).
SMSTS and First Aid certification.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel locally.
