Job Description
You will be responsible for assisting with the preparation of monthly accounts, reporting and analysis working to a detailed timetable.
This is a full-time, 6-month fixed term contract, working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, offering a competitive salary and package and the opportunity to work with a forward-thinking market leader.
Responsibilities
* Assist with preparation of journals, accruals and prepayments
* Reconciliation of various P&L costs on a monthly basis and compare estimate with amount charged to accounts
* Assist with monthly reconciliation of balance sheet headings
* Review of Goods Received Not Invoiced accrual and review of parked invoices for accrual
* Completion of regular weekly and monthly management reports for the central group cost centres
* Complete various ad-hoc reporting and analysis for the business as required
* Raise purchase requisitions for some central cost centres
* Act as the purchasing champion for the group, bridging between the AP team and the group purchasing stakeholders to ensure best practice
* Support the forecast and budget process for central cost centres
* Undertake headcount analysis for the group cost centres
* Prepare a backup for sales invoicing and group recharges as necessary
Qualifications
* To be professional and able to operate as a team player or individually as necessary
* Qualified AAT or part-qualified CIMA or ACCA
* Be confident in communicating with people at all levels internally and externally
* Ability to work effectively and without direct supervision
* Flexible attitude and methodical approach to work and training
* The ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
* Effectively prioritise work load to meet deadlines
* Be proactive and able to make decisions
* Fully computer literate, particularly Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or similar accounting software is desirable
