Job Description
This is a mobile role, ideal for someone with a strong background in building fabric and general maintenance who enjoys independence and variety.
You’ll carry out repairs and improvements to the fabric of buildings, supporting both planned maintenance schedules and urgent callouts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Undertake reactive and planned building fabric maintenance across multiple Job Centre sites.
2. Carry out minor repairs to roofing, plastering, carpentry, masonry, and general building works.
3. Support water hygiene tasks such as flushing, temperature checks, and basic remedials.
4. Complete all works safely, efficiently, and to agreed service levels.
5. Manage jobs and records via PDA/CAFM system.
6. Participate in the on-call rota to support urgent issues out of hours.
7. Maintain excellent communication with the helpdesk, colleagues, and site staff.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
8. Proven experience in building fabric maintenance or multi-skilled building repairs (essential).
9. Competent across general building services such as carpentry, plastering, masonry, decorating, or similar.
10. Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.) are a bonus but not essential.
11. Strong understanding of health & safety and safe systems of work.
12. Comfortable using tablets or computers for job logging and documentation.
13. Reliable, flexible, and customer-focused with a professional attitude.
14. Full UK driving licence (mobile role).
