Land Manager – Major UK Grid Upgrade Project
We’re supporting one of the UK’s most significant power-transmission upgrades — a new high-voltage connection linking Scotland with the North East of England. The onshore section runs several kilometres, and the Land & Infrastructure team is responsible for all land access, reinstatement, and stakeholder engagement along the route.
The Role
We’re looking for a Land Manager to oversee land rights, reinstatement and stakeholder matters along part of the cable corridor. This isn’t an acquisition job, it’s about managing existing land interests, maintaining relationships with landowners, ensuring contractor access, handling compensation and keeping the project compliant and on track.
You’ll be:
• Managing wayleaves, easements and reinstatement across multiple sites
• Coordinating with project delivery partners and contractors
• Handling landowner engagement, access, and compensation
• Monitoring reinstatement, compliance and documentation
• Representing the project with local authorities and communities
You’ll need:
• 5+ years’ experience in land, wayleave or RoW management (ideally grid, cable or pipeline)
• Solid knowledge of DCO/NSIP processes
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Comfortable working on-site as well as in project meetings
What’s on offer:
Competitive salary, vehicle or allowance, strong benefits package and the chance to play a key role in a nationally significant energy-infrastructure scheme.
